History

FBC Kopperl was organized in 1875 in Powelldale south of Kopperl on Mesquite Creek. They met in a small building which was also used as the school. At the time, they met in a building where the cemetery is now. In 1916, the church moved to its present location. A fire totally destroyed the interior of the building in '44, and the present building still has the original concrete walls which survived the fire.

Today, the church is striving to make Jesus famous in Bosque County and carry on the tradition of making disciples that has been a goal of the church for the 140 years that it has existed. God is doing some awesome things through FBC Kopperl today and will continue to attempt to be used of God mightily in the 21st century.
